Born in Shenqiu, Henan Province, in 963. He graduated from the Department of Fine Arts of Henan University in 1983 and taught in the Department. In 1995, he was admitted to the Graduate School of Traditional Chinese Painting of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. He graduated with a master’s degree in 1997 and was appointed by the State Fund to study in Merinikov Studio of the Lebine Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg, Russia from 2003 to 2004. Now he is a member of the Chinese Artists Association, a member of the fresco art committee of the Chinese Artists Association, and a vice-director, professor, doctor and master’s supervisor of the fresco Department of the Chinese Academy of Fine Arts.
